Located in Augusta, WA, our recently constructed showcase home of superb materials and ultra high quality construction techniques is a testament to Vikal's capacity as a builder. Architecturally pure, the completed holiday home is hard to distinguish from the pre-construction conceptual 3D renders. Featuring wall to wall direct glazed windows and a restrained but luxurious fit out, this 5 bedroom 3 bathroom home leaves the holiday maker with nothing wanting. Bathrooms have been superbly appointed with European tiling throughout and marine style caulked detailing. This large well considered modular holiday home is a sure winner with forward facing 180 degree sweeping views of the ocean with the water's edge only meters from the property boundary.

Design

The house has been specifically designed to stylishly facilitate all aspects of the family beach holiday. Flooring is robust and hard wearing. Bedrooms are restrained with custom built in carpentry throughout. Great emphasis has been placed on the family room with sweeping views which features a marine style fit out and leather built in sofas. This large living room can comfortably accommodate a large family. Storage is ample and hidden, drawers are built into the seating to store board games whilst two large custom coffee tables allow for family activities in this grand common area.

Construction

Each module is constructed from Structural Insulate Panels (SIPS) which consist of Styrofoam sandwiched between two layers of OSB timber. SIPS are used for all floors, walls and roofs and provide excellent thermal and acoustic insulation making this house very enviromentally friendly. SIPS also offers superior rigidity whilst maintaining a low thermal mass. Throughout, the buidling materials have been employed that are resistant to the harsh elements of the beach location. We have taken this notion to that extra step where the building materials largely consists of treated painted timbers and fibre boards plus stainless steel and copper. Little to no mild steel has been used so construction has been made to last a lifetime or more in this highly corrosive beach environment.
